About me
I discovered Yoga while living abroad in Costa Rica. I suffered a massive injury that prevented me from surfing and then had the opportunity to practice Ashtanga yoga which was my first practice that exposed me to my journey into yoga. My first years of training were with Power Vinyasa Yoga. As a lifetime athlete it was on my spectrum of pace and strength that kept me interested to pursue and continue my journey with yoga.
Now, and to present day, I’ve studied for 20 years from Hot yoga to Yin yoga and have found a love for many styles and lineages as they offer such different yet similar self-care focuses. I love to teach Flow as I’m creative by nature and love to express it through poses on the mat. In my classes I love to focus on alignment for injury-prevention, but I also like to have fun with the practice…..life is too short not to have fun!
My meditation has grown organically over the years, especially now being a mom - game changer! Now, as a mom of a daughter and son I endeavor to demonstrate to the next generation the importance of self-love and self-acceptance. Our yoga practice is a reflection of how we live and how we can handle the challenges that come our way.
I’ve taught with Bliss for 12 years and love being a part of our community and the safe and nurtured space that has been created. I look forward to meeting you on the mat.
